Asher has been experiencing some baby acne, so to make him feel better about his appearance he slipped on his first pair of jeans.

Asher's first trip to Kelowna

Mom rode "driving miss daisy" style on Asher's first trip to the sunny Okanagan. When we arrived home tonight, I was changing his diaper and turned away for a second and yup ... Asher peed all over the wall. I'm just glad I didn't get hit.

On Saturday we were able to spend some time getting to know a few UCM student leaders over breakfast at the Duffy's. On Sunday night we were up on the UBC Okanagan campus for their last meeting. After a bowl of chili, we broke bread and had a time of worship in the Arts Atrium.

Easter

Asher's first time at church today celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. He has risen. He has risen indeed! We worshiped on campus with our UTown Church community. Tim said the most frequent command in the bible is "do not be afraid." Which also happens to be the first thing Jesus says to his disciples after his resurrection. Do not be afraid. Don't live in fear. Life in Christ is life lived in hope. We celebrate with the church universal today, and as new parents, our little Asher is a sign to us of life and hope.

Asher Meets Dane & Ben

Little Ben and Dane came to visit on Good Friday. The first sounds of their arrival was heard up the staircase as Ben said repeatedly: "baby Asher, baby Asher, baby Asher." We played a bit of spatula hockey. And then Dane showed us his new party trick (...captured on video, but sequestered for private viewing only.)

Asher Meets UCM

Asher made his first appearance at UCM last night. He has more admirers then I'm sure he knows what to do with.
